Log of Beholding App Privacy Policy
Log of Beholding
Last updated: 24 September 2026
The short version
Log of Beholding does not collect anything. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, and no server to send anything to. Everything the app knows stays on your device.
Your voice
The app listens to your microphone so it can recognise the name of a card and show it.
Speech recognition runs entirely on your device, using a model bundled inside the app. Audio is processed as it arrives and discarded. It is never recorded to a file, never stored, and never transmitted anywhere. There is no cloud speech service involved at any point, which is also why the app works with no internet connection at all.
You can mute the microphone at any time from the toolbar, and you can refuse or later revoke the microphone permission in your device settings. The rest of the app continues to work without it.
Your cards
Cards you write, import, edit or delete are stored in the app's own private storage on your device. So are your settings, your games and your categories.
Nothing in your library is uploaded. When you export a pack, the file goes where you choose to put it, and sharing it with anyone else is your decision and your action.
Crash reports
The desktop version can keep crash logs on your own machine to help you diagnose a problem. They are written locally and there is deliberately no way for the app to send them anywhere. If you ever want to share one you have to find it and send it yourself.
Network access
The app makes no network requests of its own and needs no connection to function.
The Android build declares the INTERNET permission because the framework it is built on requires it to serve the app's own files to its local view. It is not used to contact any server.
A few screens contain links to external sites for rules attribution (for example the Creative Commons licence text). Those open in your browser only when you tap them, and at that point you are on that site under its own privacy policy, not ours.
Children
The app is a reference tool for tabletop roleplaying games and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Your rights
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to show you, correct, or delete. To remove everything the app has stored, uninstall it, or clear its storage in your device settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new use of your data.
