Thank you everyone who backed the Log of Beholding early! You are now part of the Main Campaign, and this page will have updates to on the development of the app!
Some fun news! I got married this summer! Turns out that planning a wedding and shipping my first app in the same stretch turned out to be a lot, who knew! I decided to fully give my time to the wedding and the honeymoon, and now that we are back, the Log of Beholding is a priority again.
Current status (updated July 26, 2026): The desktop app is in active testing, and I am polishing off the last few features. I am also locking in code signing so it installs cleanly on any PC, with no scary unknown-publisher warnings. Here is the honest roll on timing: if signing clears quickly, we ship by the end of July; if it runs long, early-to-mid August. Android will release along side desktop.
What you receive at release (delivered by email, matching the version you pre-ordered):
- Windows desktop order: the installer, plus the desktop app source code.
- Android order: a Google Play redemption code, plus the Android app source code.
The source is source-available: read it, build it, and modify it for your own use. (You may not redistribute or resell it, or use it to build and sell your own product)
This is my first time shipping software, and I have learned so much and it has been such an exciting adventure so far! I want this launch to be smooth and genuinely pleasant for everyone who trusted me with it. Thank you for being the reason it gets to happen. I will keep this page updated at every step.

- July 26, 2026: Back from the wedding and honeymoon; app in active testing with code-signing verification in progress. Target is the end of July, into August only if signing runs long.
